Sometime a license is not retrieve when starting Revit, a number of issues could cause this, but this article looks at the reset/corrupt license file [qlmFloating.xml]
If you open the file [qlmFloating.xml] in notepad and it looks like the below then the file has been reset.
Each item above should contain a value i.e.
So why has this happened,
- A network connection error
- Manually editing the license file
How to fix
Re-run the network license manger and the fields will be populated again, most as viewed above are encrypted so can not simply be manually edited, also a manual edit will cause a corruption too.
