Bonus Tools contains multiple apps and can help any practice save time. New tools include; SheetEMup, Renumber Parameter, Highlight 3D Elements, Areas or Rooms to Mass. Also major Ribbon upgrades...

06 Ribbon Settings

View and change the Ribbon Settings.
Select the tools you want to see on the Ribbon and re-order them to suit you.

07 Window Watcher Settings

View and change the Window Watcher Settings.
Add Revit Window names you would like to either block and/or report on the windows activation as part of a Company Standard. This tool is primarily used to block/report on 'In-place Families' and 'Importing of CAD files'.
- Blocking a window does just that, blocks it and replaces it with a warning message.
- Reporting on a windows activation writes to a log file listing the project and users name who activated the window. It also warns the user the window activation is being recorded.
- Change the report path to suit.

08 Family Tracker

Lists all Loaded Families and/or Groups in the Project and the date of insert and the date of reload (modification).
Note: the insertion and modification date are only recorded if Kiwi Codes Bonus Tools or Family Browser are installed and running.
From the list, highlight families that are out of date in the project file, reload or repath them.

09 3d Views for All Levels

Create a 3d View for each level in the Project.
Note: depending on the number of levels, this may take a while.

10 3D Views for all Worksets

Create a 3d View for each Workset and hide all other Worksets in the view.
Note: depending on the number of Worksets, this may take a while.

11 3D View for Selected Elements

Create a 3d View with a Section Box around the currently select elements.
Specify a margin around the elements to extend the Section Box by.

12 Change Text Case

Change text case between Title, UPPER and lower.
This applies to Annotation Text, Model Text, Room Names, Area Names, View Names & View Titles on Sheets.

13 Dimensions List

Lists all Dimensions within the project.
Go to the view hosting the Dimension. Delete the Dimension. See if it has a text override.

14 Create Floors from Rooms

Create Floors using rooms as the perimeter.
Note:
- You must be in a plan view.
- The level associated to the view you are working with is the level the new floor will be placed on.
- You can choose the floor type & the floor offset from the level.

15 Elements on Levels

Lists all elements on a selected level.
Cycle through the levels in the Project to see what elements are hosted to it.

16 In-Place Family List

Lists all In-Place Families within the project.
Go to the view hosting the In-Place Family. Delete the In-Place Family.

17 Referencing File List

Lists all Revit, DWG and Image references within the project.
Go to the view hosting the Referencing File. Delete the Referencing File.

18 Remove all Views

Removes all views from the Project except for the active view (if all other views are closed) or last view created (if multiple views are open).
Help reduce the file size before issuing to consultants or archiving the model.

19 Remove Unused Views

Remove unwanted views that causes the file size to bloat.
Removes views:
- Other than the active view.
- Not placed on a sheet. Note: retains the primary views not placed on a sheet but reference secondary views that are.
- Without a parameter of your choice. Retain views that are not placed on sheet but are working views that you do not want delete.

20 Section Creator

Creates a perpendicular or parallel section to the selected wall.
Note: a wall must be selected before activating this command.

21 Sheet Duplication

Duplicate one or many sheets.
Quickly duplicate sheets by:
- Selecting from a list of current sheets those to duplicate.
- Choosing the title block to be assigned to the duplicated sheets.
- Choosing the number of times to duplicate the sheets.
- Choosing whether to duplicate the views on the current sheets and place them on the duplicated sheets.
- Note: schedules and legends are not duplicated, the originals are placed on the duplicated sheets.

22 Views to Sheets

Place views on Sheets in bulk.
Quickly put views on sheets by:
- Selecting the View Type and/or searching for a View.
- Selecting the View base point, BL (bottom left), RB(bottom right), M(middle), TL(top left) or TR(top right)
- Select a Master Sheet if desired.
- Select a Master View or NULL. If a view is selected, the X, Y coordinates of the View will be used to place the new View. If NULL is selected the Views will be placed at 0,0.
- Dragging Views to their desired Sheet.

23 Swap Groups for Families

Swap unwanted Groups out for Families.
Select one - symbol or detail item or generic model and group before running this tool.
Use any of the below combinations and more.
- Swap Detail Groups for Annotation Symbols.
- Swap Detail Groups for Detail Components.
- Swap Model Groups for Generic Models.
- Swap Model Groups for Casework.
- Note: ensure the base points are the same before swapping Groups for Families.

24 Place Points on Topography

Use a Families X and Y location to place Points on a Topography Surface.
Use this tool to insert points at a X,Y location on a Topography
- Surface, the Z location value is the height of the Topography Surface at the specified point.
- Step 1: Use the Setting Out Points tool to create Points.
- Step 2: Select the desired Points and the Topography Surface.
- Step 3: Run the tool.
- Step 4: Edit the Topography Surfaces.

25 Add Points to Topography

Use a Families X, Y and Z location to add Points to a Topography Surface.
Use this tool to make a Topography Surface follow the underside of a Floor.
- Step 1: Use the Setting Out Points tool to create Points.
- Step 2: Select the desired Points and the Topography Surface.
- Step 3: Run the tool.
- Step 4: Edit the Topography Surface to remove excess points.

26 Topography Surface Edge

Creates Lines around the boundary edges of the select topography in: Plan, 3D or Section.
There are 3 selection types available.
- In Plan - the lines are created as Detail Lines.
- In 3D - the lines are created as Model Lines.
- In Section - the lines are created as Detail Lines.
- Note: a topography surface must be selected before activating this command.

27 Update Referencing Sheets

Updates Sections Referencing Sheets.
Note: you must be in a Section or Elevation view before activating this command.

28 Reference Plane List

Lists all Reference Planes in the project.
Go to the view showing the Reference Plane. Delete the Reference Plane.

29 View Template Map

Lists all view templates, and views using those view templates.
Before modifying a view templates settings gather a list of all views that will be affected by the changes.

30 Element Selector – By Id

Enter an element Id to find its Name.
Find the Name of a corrupted element in the project file.

31 Setting Out Points

Setting Out Points
Select the Generic Family to use as the setting out point marker and enter the desired shared parameters to use in a schedule.
Choose your selection set:
- Current View.
- Current Selection.
- Entire Project.

32 Navisworks to Revit

Convert a Navisworks XML report into clash points and 3D views placed on sheet(s).
Select the Generic Family to use as the clash point and enter the desired shared parameters to use in a schedule. Choose whether to also create 3D views with bounding boxes and whether to place them on Sheets. Note: create views and sheets can take time.
Suggestion - do this in a blank project file. Multiple views and sheets will be created.

Export and Import schedules to and from Excel.
Utilize Excel to speed up repetitive schedule manipulation.

Export Category to Excel

Export any Category to Excel.
Select the Category, phase and parameters to export to Excel.
- First row in Excel is the Parameter Name used during Import (Do not delete or modify this row)
- Second row in Excel is the Parameter Type (Do not delete this row)
- Third row in Excel is the Parameter Id (Do not delete this row)
- First column in Excel is Element Id used during Import (Do not delete this column)
- Delete any other rows and columns after Export as desired (except for those mentioned above)

Export Schedule to Excel

Export any Schedule to Excel.
Select the Schedule to export to Excel.
- First row in Excel is the Parameter Name used during Import (Do not delete or modify this row)
- Second row in Excel is the Parameter Type (Do not delete this row)
- Third row in Excel is the Parameter Id (Do not delete this row)
- First column in Excel is Element Id used during Import (Do not delete this column)
- Delete any other rows and columns after Export as desired (except for those mentioned above)

Import from Excel

Import any Element changes from Excel.
Select any Excel file that is formatted as per the Export function.
- The first row in Excel must be the Parameter Name (Text case must be identical)
- The second row in Excel is the Parameter Type. The row must exist.
- The first column in Excel is Element Id

Export Formatted Category to Excel

Export any Category to a Formatted Excel file. Note: One-way Export.
Select the Category, phase and parameters to export to Excel.

Import New Rooms

Imports an creates place holders for Rooms.

Import New Sheets

Dummy Schedule

Recreate an Excel Schedule within Revit using Revit Schedule Headers.
- Select an Excel Schedule to recreate in Revit.
- A new Schedule will be created using the active Worksheet.
- The new Schedules' name will equal that of the Excel Worksheet.
- The Range recreate is defined by the 'Set Print Area' within Excel.

34 Shared Parameters

Bulk load Shared Parameters into one or more Family files.

Copy view filters and their settings from one view to multiple other views.

36 Sheet Revisions

This tool copies (recreates) Areas by:

- Selecting the Areas Scheme type.

Note: if there are no area boundary lines in the destination view, then expect 'Area is not in a properly enclosed region' warnings.

52 Renumber Category

Remove duplicate mark warnings from selected Categories
This tool renumbers ALL elements within selected Categories by using the Element Id.

Make a Topography follow a Floor.
To run the tool select a Floor or Roof and Topography.

Export to Excel or CSV for further analysis.

96 Room Paint Bomb

Bulk Paint Walls, Floors, Ceilings and Roofs by Room Material.
Quickly Paint Walls, Floors, Ceilings and Roofs to match a Material assigned to a Room.
Filter Rooms by:
- Current View.
- Current Selection.
- Entire Project.
And search by Parameter.
Select the Room Material Parameter.
Skip Walls that you do not want to Paint by Parameter.

97 Room Paint Report

Report on Painted Walls surrounding Rooms.
- Choose the Material Parameter i.e. Name, Mark and write the Materials back to the Room.

98 Find Painted Elements

Find all Painted Elements with a Project.
- Isolate selected Elements and bulk remove Paint from faces.

Copy Scope Boxes between files.
- If a Scope Box with the same name already exists, the tool will delete, create and reconnect the Views connected to the old Scope Box.

- Quickly view how many times a Schedule has been place prior to deleting or modifying it.

Bulk change multiple Title Blocks.
- Select a range of Title Blocks by Sheet Number or Name etc.

102 Revision Clouds

Convert Revision Cloud data to a Revit Dummy Schedule.";
View Revision Clouds within the Entire Project or Current Sheet, showing all Revision Clouds or only those that have not been issued.
Export the Grid to Excel.
- Create a Revit Dummy Schedule from the Grid by:
- Selecting an Existing Schedule on an Existing Sheet as the placement location.
- Selecting Schedule Columns and Widths.
- Entering a default cell height.
- Note: the height of the cells does not auto adjust.
- Select a View Template.
- Select to replace an Existing copy of the Schedule if created.
- Note: the Schedule is named by the Sheet Name and Number.
- Each Time the Sheet is re-issued this tool will need to be re-run to update the Dummy Schedule.

103 Wall Direction

Calculate the orientation a Wall i.e. N, S, E, W etc.
Apply orientation to a selected parameter.

104 Replace Line Styles

Swap all Model and Detail Lines within a View or Project with another Line Style.
- Note: this will note swap Lines within a Group or Filled Region etc.

105 Tag All

Tag All Elements by one or more View.
Select the Tag, Category and Views to Tag.

106 Schedule Browser

Browser Schedule by Category and Group by Prefix or Suffix.
- Quickly navigate Schedules using this Schedule Browser.
- View what Sheets a Schedule is placed on.
- Note: May need to click Apply/Update to see additions, modifications and deletions.

107 Next Number

Find the next sequential number for any Parameter.
Select and Element then run the tool then:
- Select a Parameter: Mark, Number, Comments etc.
- Enter Text the Parameter must contains.
- Enter a new Number and click Ok to renumber the Element.

108 Add Project Shared Parameters

Bulk load Shared Parameters into a Project.

109 Topography to Follow Topography

Make a Topography follow another Topography.
- To run the tool first go to a 3D View then select a Topography to follow and then the Topography to modify.
- This tool makes it easy to update to Topography already in a Project, without starting from scratch or splitting and merging surfaces (which is hit and miss).
- Note: For best results, modify the existing Topography to remove all internal and boundary points that lie within the zone of the new Topography layout, this ensures there are now duplicated points and all copy across.
