Welcome to this demonstration on Bonus Tools – 71 RDS tool. Quickly create Views for each Room.
- To run the tool, navigate to the Bonus Tools Tab and select RDS tool.
- The RDS tool dialog will appear.
Note: The dialog when opened will display all Rooms in the project in the grid; at the bottom right is the total Room count in the grid. Within grid you can see the element ID, the Name and Select. You can sort the grid by clicking any column header.
- You select the Rooms you would like to view or create Room Data Sheets for and click the Go to View or Create Views button:
- To select the Rooms you can either; tick the check boxes individually or highlight the rows using standard mouse drag and control key operations and click Select Selected button.
Note: the Total selected is updating.
- or click Select All button to select all Rooms in the grid.
- or click Select None button to deselect all Rooms.
- At the top let choose the selection set: Current View, Current Selection or Entire Project to filter the Rooms.
- You can choose to add a Filled Region to Plan Views by selecting the check box.
- If selected, then choose a Filled Region type.
- Enter the Filled Region offset from the Room.
Note: Filled Region creation can fail if the Room has complicated boundary.
- Select the Phase you would like to Associate to the new Views.
- Check if you would like the tool to update existing Views.
- Choose the View Types that you would like to create:
- With the above choices made, populate the values for each View Type.
- Floor View.
- Ceiling Plan.
- 3D.
- Elevations.
- Sections.
- Schedules.
- Sheets.
- Once all selections are made, click Create Views.
- Once complete a Change Parameter dialog will show. This dialog allows you to choose a Titleblock and/or make changes to any or all parameter found on the Sheets quickly.
- Choose a desired Titleblock.
- Renumber Sheets by highlighting the Sheets.
- Right click and select Rename Selected.
- Enter:
- Click Ok.
Note: You can compare the Existing with the new.
- Modify all other Parameters by highlighting the cells.
- Right click and select Rename Selected.
- Enter a new Value and Click Ok.
- Once complete, click Ok to the Change Parameters dialog.
- Once completed you will be prompted with a confirmation.
